Zipping Lilly gave trainer Jason Mackay and owners Martin & Fiona their second Group 3 Evans & Son Jewellers Ladies Bracelet win in three years.
Winning in 2014 with Zipping Willow, the camp was quietly confident that Zipping Lilly could settle in a good position early, and be ready to challenge in the later stages.
Good Odds Angel and Two Many Daddy's were the first duo away and positioned well into the first turn. Tap Out Rose and Zipping Lilly carving across from the wide draw to sit in behind the leaders.
"Down the back I knew we were in a handy position," Mackay said post race.
"She is still very young, but she has a great motor and she is racing smarter, especially at box rise.
"We will see how she feels in the morning and consider whether to take on the Group 1 Sapphire Crown at Sandown on Thursday," Mackay added.
Mackay thanked his family and team which assist with the racing team, along with long time owners, Martin & Fiona Hallinan.
"We are lucky to have a great family set up, and have such great owners and friends in the Hallinan's," Mackay said.
"And speaking of families I can't thank Alan Evans and his family enough for their sponsorship, it is a stunning bracelet and the sport is lucky to have such great sponsors," Mackay said.
